Job Description

The senior design engineer is responsible for leading a team of engineers and working hands-on on complex façade design projects.

  • Technical Expertise:
    • Expertise in façade system design, shop drawings, fabrication drawings, bill of materials preparation, and design scheduling.
  • Leadership and Team Management:
    • Lead, supervise, and mentor the design team, allocating tasks and monitoring progress.
    • Review team outputs (drawings, bills of materials, calculations) for accuracy and compliance.
  • Project Coordination and Stakeholder Management:
    • Collaborate with project managers, site teams, architects, consultants, and clients to ensure alignment.
    • Presents design solutions and coordinates approvals from stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil / Mechanical / Architecture or related discipline (Master's degree preferred).
  • 8–12 years of experience in façade design, including shop drawings, fabrication drawings, bill of materials, and design scheduling.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a senior / lead role managing a design team.

Key Skills Required:

  • Technical expertise in façade systems (unitized, stick, curtain wall, ACP, skylights, glazing, louvers, etc.).
  • Hands-on expertise in shop drawings, fabrication drawings, bill of materials preparation, and design schedules.
  • Leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
