Interior Design Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Interior Designer to provide support to our design team. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in interior design and be proficient in CAD drawings, décor research, and material pricing.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the lead designer on various projects, accompanying them during client meetings, taking detailed notes, and creating CAD drawings for client projects. They will also be responsible for researching décor and materials, providing pricing, availability, stock, etc., placing orders, purchasing materials, picking up and delivering them. Furthermore, they will submit receipts for all purchases and orders, track and communicate the status of orders, resolve problems, maintain spreadsheets with client selections/finish materials, schedule tasks for designers, contractors, clients, and vendors, respond to client questions and concerns, and meet vendors to assist with installations.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of work experience in interior design.
  • Proficient in CAD drawings and design software.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the lead designer on various projects.
  • Accompany and assist the lead designer during client meetings at job sites and showrooms.
  • Take detailed notes during meetings, take measurements/photos of projects.
  • Create CAD drawings for client projects.
  • Research décor and materials; provide pricing, availability, stock, etc.
  • Place orders, purchase materials, pick up and deliver.
  • Submit receipts for all purchases and orders.
  • Track and communicate status of orders; resolve problems.
  • Maintain spreadsheets with client selections/finish materials.
  • Schedule for the designer, contractors, clients, vendors.
  • Respond to client questions and concerns; project updates.
  • Meet vendors, assist with installations.
  • Submit detailed hours (billable and non-billable) and mileage log monthly.
  • Check daily client spreadsheet for new tasks; update status of assigned task end of each day.
