The role requires expertise in testing and analysis, specifically in mainframe environments.

We are seeking a professional who can create test strategies, analyze requirements, and execute test cases effectively.

  • Develop comprehensive test plans to define the scope and approach of testing.
  • Analyze complex requirements and design test scenarios to identify potential issues.
  • Prepare test data and JCL according to the identified scenarios.
  • Execute test cases by submitting jobs and analyze results to ensure quality.

To be successful in this position, you should possess:

  • 6+ years of experience in the testing life cycle process.
  • Strong knowledge of editing JCL or creating JCL to submit test batch jobs.
  • Awareness of TSO/ISPF commands in mainframe environments.
  • Ability to analyze logs in spool for abended jobs and provide root cause analysis.
  • Knowledge in analyzing COBOL programs and identifying input and output files.
  • Ability to edit mainframe files using layouts/copybooks.
