Job Title: Medical Record Coordinator

The Medical Record Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of patient medical records. This role involves reviewing physician dictation, transcribing clinical notes into EMR/Billing systems, and preparing medical record documentation/charts for physician review.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • ">
  • Reviewing and transcribing physician dictation into clinical notes in EMR/Billing systems">
  • Preparing and assembling medical record documentation/charts for physician review">
  • Ensuring medical record compliance through self-documentation attestation">
  • Updating patient history, physical exam, and other pertinent health information in the patient chart">
  • Preparing and sending all documentation to physicians for review and approval via authentication of detailed data entry and facility-specific procedures">
  • Monitoring the duration of basic lab results and screening procedures">
  • Complying with hospital and medical facility policies, including those relating to HIPAA and Joint Commission">
  • Performing other clerical duties and tasks to improve provider productivity and clinic workflow as assigned">
