Deputy Manager-Engineering Role

The primary objective of this position is to oversee the development and implementation of quality systems within the Engineering department.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Preparation and review of quality control documents, such as SOPs, formats, and other relevant materials related to Instrumentation.
  2. Development and execution of calibration schedules for instruments, as well as preliminary cost estimations, budgeting, and tracking.
  3. Creation of P & ID's, instrument indexes, instrument lists, BOMs, data sheets, cable schedules, logic write-ups, interlock alarm systems, and lookup drawings.
  4. Management of floating enquiries, vendor evaluation, material inspection, and quality approval processes.
  5. Execution of instrumentation work, commissioning of instrumentation systems, and preparation/review of project documentation.
  6. Planning and implementing preventive maintenance plans for instruments, supporting major breakdowns, providing technical support for routine maintenance, suggesting and implementing actions on repetitive failures, identifying alternative uses for available instruments and systems, managing spares, and maintaining statutory requirements for the plant.
  7. Ensuring effective performance of testing and measuring instruments, actively participating in management drives, encouraging team participation, utilizing team members to their fullest potential, inspiring goal-oriented behavior, conducting JSA and technical training sessions for technicians, monitoring engineer performance, and participating in Hazop studies and implementation.
