Remote Biology Specialist Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a talented Remote Biology Specialist to join our team. As a key member, you will work on projects that fine-tune large language models using your analytical and English comprehension skills.

  • You should have a solid foundation in biology, particularly at the PhD level.
  • You will break down complex biological concepts into simple explanations and work efficiently.
  • The projects will also help you learn how to leverage AI to be a better analyst, future-proofing your career in an AI-first world.

What does day-to-day look like?

  • You will design and solve challenging biology problems to probe the limitations of large language models.
  • You will develop high-quality solutions with clear reasoning.
  • You will collaborate with LLM researchers to align problem types with evaluation goals.
  • You will contribute to defining new evaluation benchmarks based on biology curricula.
Requirements:
  • Candidates pursuing a Ph.D./Postdoctoral degree in biology or related fields are eligible and encouraged to apply.
  • Good research and analytical skills are required.
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback is essential.
  • Creative thinking abilities are necessary.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills are required.

This position is open only to candidates who have completed or are currently pursuing a PhD. Note that applications without this criterion will not be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:
