IT Asset Manager Job Overview


Job Summary :

This role involves coordinating procurement activities for IT-based hardware and services. Key responsibilities include managing asset tracking, preparing RFQs, and ensuring timely software/hardware license renewals.


Main Responsibilities:
  • Source and coordinate with the procurement team to obtain network hardware and software from approved vendors.
  • Manage quotation requests (RFQ/RFP), price comparisons, and vendor negotiations.
  • Track and maintain inventory of IT assets and licenses.
  • Coordinate with the IT operations team to ensure timely renewal of software licenses and warranties.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and invoices.
  • Evaluate vendors based on price, quality, and delivery performance.
  • Create and update procurement documents such as purchase orders (POs) and vendor agreements.
  • Maintain procurement compliance as per company policies and audit requirements.
  • Track delivery and installation of hardware; escalate vendor delays if needed.
