Job Title: Data Strategist

As a key member of our team, we are seeking an experienced Data Strategist to lead the development and implementation of our data engineering solutions.

  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and implementing data warehousing solutions using cloud services such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) including Big Query, Bigtable, Cloud SQL, Dataproc, Data Flow, and Data Fusion.
  • They will also have hands-on experience with software development in languages such as Java and Python.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain architecture principles, guidelines, and standards for data engineering.
  • Design and implement data warehousing solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Develop software code to support data engineering initiatives.
  • Collaborate with junior data engineers to coach and provide guidance on overall data ecosystem.

Requirements:

  • 9+ years of experience in data engineering with 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of big data, data analytics, and cloud computing.
  • Hands-on experience with GCP services, including Big Query, Bigtable, Cloud SQL, Dataproc, Data Flow, and Data Fusion.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working on solution decks, IP builds, and client meetings for requirement gathering.
  • Prior experience developing, building, and deploying on GCP.
  • Good knowledge of MPP systems, database systems, ETL and ELT systems, and data flow compute.
