Job Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our team.

About the Role

The successful candidate will design and develop modern data warehouse solutions using Snowflake and Azure Data Factory (ADF). They will collaborate with DW/BI leads to understand new ETL pipeline development requirements, triage issues to find gaps in existing pipelines and fix them, work with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and develop data models to fulfill those needs, help junior team members resolve issues and technical challenges, drive technical discussions with client architects and team members, and orchestrate data pipelines in a scheduler via Apache Airflow.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must have a Bachelor's and/or master's degree in computer science or equivalent experience. At least 6+ years of IT experience and 3+ years of experience in data warehouse/ETL projects are also required.

Necessary Skills
  1. Expertise in Snowflake security, Snowflake SQL, and designing/implementing other Snowflake objects.
  2. Hands-on experience with Snowflake utilities, SnowSQL, Snowpipe, Snowsight, and Snowflake connectors.
  3. Deep understanding of Star and Snowflake dimensional modeling.
  4. Strong knowledge of data management principles.
  5. Good understanding of Databricks Data & AI platform and Databricks Delta Lake Architecture.
  6. Proficiency in RDBMS, complex SQL, PL/SQL, Unix Shell Scripting, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and query optimization.
  7. Experience working with structured and unstructured data, including imaging and geospatial data.
  8. Experience working in a Dev/Ops environment with tools such as Terraform, CircleCI, Git.
  9. Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced, innovative environment with several ongoing concurrent projects.
  10. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  11. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
