Job Title: Engineering Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Engineering Manager to join our team at Talentoj. As an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers in the development of our back-end platform. This involves working on our existing codebase, as well as new projects, to ensure the scalability, performance, and reliability of our systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead a team of engineers in the development of our back-end platform.
  2. Own the end-to-end delivery of new features and ensure their successful deployment.
  3. Evolving the architecture for performance and scalability.
  4. Design, develop, and own components of a highly scalable, distributed web services platform.
  5. Lead module development independently and remove obstacles blocking engineers from achieving their tasks.
  6. Strive to constantly improve software development process and team productivity.
  7. Hire, train, and supervise engineering staff members.

Requirements:

  • B.E./B.Tech in Computer science or Information Technology with 10+ years of experience in a scalable product/ecommerce organization.
  • Experience in developing scalable, fault-tolerant, distributed backend services.
  • Experience with prevalent design pattern and advanced system designing.
  • Ability to think high-level while still being technical.
  • Problem-solving while always looking for ways to prevent the same problems from happening again by setting defined workflows in place.
  • Good communication skills and flexibility oriented mindset.
  • The ability to adapt and see different points of view is critical and helps teams align, focus, and stay effective.
  • Decisiveness and an execution mindset are especially valuable.
  • Championing your team internally and externally by celebrating their victories, giving them autonomy, trust, and guidance to achieve their career goals.
