Lead Refractory Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our refractory function.
The ideal candidate will have 15-20 years of experience in refractory management in steel plant operations, with a strong background in ceramic engineering or metallurgy. They will possess excellent leadership and technical skills, with the ability to formulate and implement refractory strategies, optimize refractory cost per ton of steel, and ensure strict compliance to safety and housekeeping practices.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive refractory strategies for various plant units.
- Oversee refractory installation, gunning, ramming, and relining activities across furnaces, ladles, tundishes, and other equipment.
- Analyze refractory performance data, introduce best practices, and conduct failure analysis.
- Optimize refractory cost per ton of steel without compromising quality.
- Lead, train, and develop refractory engineers, supervisors, and contract workforce.
Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Ceramic Engineering / Metallurgy.
- Minimum 15–20 years of experience in refractory management in steel plant operations (BOF/EAF, LF, CCM).
