Electrical Procurement Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Procurement Specialist to handle the end-to-end procurement of electrical items. The ideal candidate will have strong vendor management, negotiation, and technical understanding of electrical materials.

  • The successful applicant will identify, evaluate, and finalize vendors for electrical products, ensuring the right products are sourced at the right cost, on time, and as per technical requirements.
  • Floated RFQs, prepare price comparison sheets, and negotiate for the best pricing, credit terms, and delivery schedules.
  • Review and interpret SLDs (Single Line Diagrams) and BOQs (Bill of Quantities) to ensure purchases align with project needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain and update vendor lists, develop new suppliers, and conduct vendor audits for quality assurance.
  2. Coordinate with project/logistics teams for dispatches, tracking, and resolving any delays or discrepancies.
  3. Maintain accurate procurement records (quotations, POs, payments, approvals).
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Diploma/Bachelor's/Master's in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 3–4 years of procurement experience in an electrical trading company.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and email communication.
  • Strong negotiation, vendor management, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
