Expert Mainframe Performance Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

  • 5+ Years of experience in managing Mainframe Performance and Capacity.
  • Complete reporting lifecycle which includes generating reports using TDS & SAS -MXG, ensuring accurate data analysis and efficient report delivery.
  • System monitoring and performing health-checks using various tools like RMF, Omegamon, SDSF to identify system abnormalities such as high consumers, looping jobs or transactions.
  • Creating Monthly, Quarterly PCM reports and presenting findings to stakeholders, providing actionable insights for performance improvement.
  • Implementing code changes to automated jobs, optimizing system efficiency and reducing manual intervention.
  • Worked on Capacity planning for LPAR decommission, ensuring seamless transition with minimal disruption.
  • Identifying and analyzing system trends, workload, service class reports to find root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Performing WLM changes based on changing workload behavior and demand, maintaining optimal system performance.
  • Taking proactive steps to avoid repeating performance issues, ensuring continuous system improvement.
  • Providing support during DR activities, ensuring PCM checkouts of system performances are completed efficiently.
  • Supporting Major Projects and Datacenter Migration Projects, ensuring successful project outcomes.

Technical and Professional Requirements:

  • Advanced knowledge of Mainframe Performance and Capacity Management.
