Job Title: Accountant

Main Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate financial records in compliance with university policies and statutory requirements.
  • Record daily transactions including fees, salaries, purchases, and other expenditures accurately and timely.
  • Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconcile bank statements to ensure accuracy.
  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Support in preparing statutory filings such as GST, TDS, PF, ESI, and other compliances.
  • Ensure timely submission of reports to regulatory bodies.
  • Support the finance team in preparing annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Assist auditors during internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
  • Ensure adherence to financial policies and government regulations.
  • Support payroll processing and manage statutory deductions accurately.
  • Maintain student fee collection records, reconcile fee accounts, and deposit collections timely.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance is mandatory.
  • M Com CA Inter qualification is preferred.
  • 1-2 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the education sector.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards, GST, TDS, and other statutory compliances.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, Tally ERP, University ERP, and MS Excel.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills are essential.
