System Tester

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled System Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining and refining an evolving suite of tests to ensure the highest quality in our products.

As a System Tester, you will work closely with Developers, Solution Architects, and Product Managers to define and develop test coverage for our use cases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute customer-driven system testing for our products.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure your test environment validates customer use cases as closely as possible.
  • Own and drive testing to completion: review product requirements, design docs, and customer use cases to build test plans, test cases, and develop automation to execute system testing for new and existing features over multiple releases.

Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience in software testing and test automation preferably within an enterprise storage product environment where Distributed Systems architecture is a key component.
  • Experience working closely in flash storage is a plus.
  • Good knowledge of file systems, file system protocols, and data replication including Read/Write IOPs, Latency, Bandwidth, I/O datapath, NFS, SMB, S3, ACLs, networking layers, and replication specifics.
  • Strong Automation skills and Familiarity with automation tooling like pytest is a plus.
  • Good understanding of how end customers use/deploy Storage Systems is a plus.

Additional Requirements:

  • Familiarity with application ecosystems and directory services.
  • Ability to deploy and use 3rd party IO tools to simulate IO test workloads.
  • Skilled at reviewing and collaborating on product design docs and test plans.
  • Competency in authoring detailed test plans.
  • Experience in development and testing of RESTful web services and backend APIs.
