Job Description

  • Support the development of an annual Internal Audit plan based on management inputs, business priorities, and a thorough assessment of the business risk environment.
  • Identify and finalize vendors to be contracted for the execution of program activities.
  • Lead the execution of the Internal Audit Plan (in-house or outsourced) as approved by the audit committee, ensuring timely completion and reporting to all stakeholders.
  • Lead functional audits (in-house or outsourced) as per the annual plan approved by the audit committee.
  • Monitor and report the status of open Internal Audit observations to all stakeholders every month.
  • Execute follow-up audits to assess the effectiveness of management remediation on internal audit reviews.
  • Develop and maintain Internal Audit SOPs, including templates, protocols, and documentation requirements.
  • Create a repository of audit programs, checklists, templates, and tools for standardization and consistency in the execution of the internal audit program.
  • Plan, develop, and maintain audit support tools to enhance audit process quality and efficiency.
  • Partner with the Risk Management function and provide input for entity and functional level risk identification and assessment.
  • Provide input to the risk identification and assessment program for new emerging risks identified during internal audit program execution.
  • Leverage risk assessment output as input for developing a robust internal audit plan.
  • Monitor risk mitigation steps, initiatives taken by management, and calibrate internal audit procedures.
  • Leverage output from other programs as a second line of defense for internal audit planning and execution.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • ">
  • 10-15 years of experience in implementing, delivering, and embedding risk management at strategic and operational levels.
  • Proven experience in undertaking audits across a wide and diverse area of the organization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interface and influence all levels of management.
