Strategic Procurement Leader

This role is instrumental in ensuring seamless procurement of critical materials, driving cost optimization and maintaining supplier performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Source and procure raw materials, components, consumables and tooling for manufacturing operations.
  • Identify, evaluate and onboard suppliers based on quality, cost and delivery performance.
  • Raise and monitor purchase orders aligned with production schedules and inventory levels.
  • Negotiate prices, payment terms and contracts with suppliers to achieve mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Track market trends and implement cost-saving initiatives through data-driven analysis.
  • Coordinate with production, stores, quality and finance teams to ensure end-to-end procurement alignment.
  • Maintain documentation for audits, vendor evaluations and management reporting to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Support new product development (NPD) sourcing activities by providing expertise and resources.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
  • Possession of an MBA in Operations Management or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-4 years of hands-on procurement experience in an automotive ancillary or Tier 1 supplier environment.
  • Strong vendor negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Basic knowledge of ERP systems including SAP, Oracle or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with automotive standards and documentation to ensure compliance.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint and reporting tools to analyze data and present findings.
