Purchasing Specialist - Nutritional Products

We are seeking a skilled Purchasing Specialist to join our team in the Nutraceuticals Division. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of procurement processes and be able to effectively manage relationships with vendors.

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying raw materials, active ingredients, fragrances, and packaging items for cosmetics and nutraceuticals products. They will also be responsible for raising and managing purchase orders, coordinating with vendors for price negotiations, lead times, and quality compliance, and evaluating vendor performance based on quality, delivery time, and cost.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Raw Materials Sourcing: Identify and procure high-quality raw materials, active ingredients, fragrances, and packaging items for cosmetics and nutraceuticals products.
  • Purchase Order Management: Raise and manage purchase orders in line with production and inventory needs.
  • Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with vendors for price negotiations, lead times, and quality compliance.
  • Vendor Evaluation: Evaluate vendor performance based on quality, delivery time, and cost.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain records and documentation for audits and quality checks.
  • Logistics: Coordinate logistics and follow up for on-time delivery of materials.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Procurement Expertise: Strong understanding of procurement processes in the cosmetics/pharma industry.
  • Raw Material Knowledge: Knowledge of raw materials used in cosmetics.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Familiarity with GMP, FDA, and cosmetic regulatory requirements.
  • Negotiation and Vendor Management: Negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems.
  • Analytical and Documentation Skills: Strong analytical and documentation skills.
  • Time Management and Multitasking: Time management and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-Solving Mindset: Problem-solving mindset and cost-conscious approach.
