Job Title: Legislative Expert

The primary function of a Legal Associate involves providing support to the legal team in ensuring that all operations are compliant with relevant laws and regulations.

This role is ideal for law students in their final year or recent graduates who possess strong analytical skills, are eager to learn, and can apply their knowledge effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contracts with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders, while ensuring alignment with applicable laws and regulations.
• Conduct thorough legal research and support the preparation of reports and briefs.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and mitigate contractual risks, thereby optimizing terms that protect the organization's interests.
• Maintain awareness of changing laws, regulations, and industry standards, and provide timely guidance on potential implications.
• Respond to regulatory inquiries and audits, and collaborate with various departments to ensure company-wide compliance with legal requirements.
• Manage and maintain statutory registers and records, as well as handle filings with regulatory authorities.
• Support corporate governance matters, including board resolutions, meeting minutes, and regulatory submissions.
• Identify potential risks, assess their impact, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
• Execute tasks efficiently and in line with best practices, and provide general support to the legal team.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Able to work in a team environment.
