Job Role: Transition Manager

The role of a Transition Manager involves overseeing multiple phases of a transition, ensuring the project is executed from initiation to closure. This position reports directly to the transition leader and requires internal and external reporting.

  • Manage active transitions as assigned.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries and decisions.
  • Support projects as the first escalation point for internal and customer issues.
  • Organize governance calls and meetings for updates on both internal and customer fronts.
  • Plan, conduct, and manage relevant training sessions for the transition team.
  • Participate in/conduct assessments to gauge training needs of the team.
  • Foster understanding of strategic business objectives and facilitate definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Contribute to creation and review of transition solutions for RFPs/RFIs and pre-sales support.
  • Identify business cases; define project tasks and resource requirements; develop detailed project charters, project plans, and transition plans based on solution complexity, priorities, and deliverables.
  • Combine process migration activities with IT implementation.
  • Provide customers with a competitive advantage by managing both IT and operations.
  • Optimize transition methodology – reduce time, costs, risks, retain/improve quality.
  • Be responsible for risk management – understand business and operational risks and develop mitigation plans. Be responsible for driving process-specific business continuity planning.
  • Responsible for creation and/or maintenance of project management documents, including status reports, project plans, knowledge transfer documentation, requisite approvals on Clarity.
  • Participate in opportunity analysis/due diligence of potential projects. Support solutioning of new bids/RFP-RFI responses/client presentations, and sales cycles.

Requirements: Graduate/Post Graduate, 10+ years of experience preferably from BPO/BPM background only.
