Senior Commercial Interior Procurement Specialist

As a key member of our team, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of procurement related to commercial interior projects. This includes developing and implementing strategies for vendor selection, negotiation, and management.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with materials used in corporate interiors such as plywood, laminates, veneers, gypsum boards, paints, hardware, and modular furniture components. Additionally, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are required to ensure effective cost control and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vendor Development & Onboarding:
  • Identify and evaluate new vendors to ensure a diverse and reliable supply chain.
  • Maintain accurate records of vendor performance and compliance with quality standards.
  • Material Procurement & Planning:
  • Procure necessary materials such as plywood, laminates, veneers, gypsum boards, paints, and other fit-out essentials.
  • Develop detailed project material requirements forecasts to ensure availability and prevent execution delays.
  • Price Negotiation & Rate Analysis:
  • Negotiate competitive pricing and payment terms with suppliers.
  • Conduct thorough rate analysis for all materials and services to optimize costs.
  • Maintain up-to-date costing sheets for internal budgeting and decision-making purposes.
  • Cost Saving & Budget Control:
  • Implement strategic plans to minimize material costs without compromising on quality.
  • Monitor and report cost-saving initiatives to senior management.
  • Purchase Order Management:
  • Prepare and manage Purchase Orders (POs) and coordinate timely follow-up with vendors.
  • Coordinate material deliveries to meet project timelines and deadlines.
  • Inventory & Stock Management:
  • Maintain optimal stock levels and collaborate with project teams for site-specific requirements.
  • Minimize waste and maintain clear audit trails of materials.
  • Vendor Relationship Management:
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with suppliers to improve pricing, lead times, and credit terms.
  • Proactively resolve any vendor disputes or delivery issues that may arise.

Requirements:

  • Education:
  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in procurement within a commercial interior fit-out contracting company.
  • Material Knowledge:
  • Strong understanding of materials used in corporate interiors.
  • Knowledge of rate analysis and market trends in the interior contracting industry.
  • Skills:
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and procurement software.
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver results within strict timelines.
  • Analysis & Problem-Solving:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
