Job Title:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced financial professional to fill the role of Senior Property Accountant.

Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Reporting:
    1. Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
    2. Provide timely and actionable insights to inform business decisions.
  2. Accounts Payable/Receivable:
    1. Manage all aspects of accounts payable and receivable, including timely processing of invoices and payments.
    2. Maintain accurate records and reconcile accounts as needed.
  3. Budgeting and Forecasting:
    1. Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing strategic recommendations to support financial planning.
    2. Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  4. General Ledger Maintenance:
    1. Maintain the general ledger, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
    2. Ensure accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  5. Compliance:
    1. Evaluate and ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards specific to the real estate industry.
    2. Stay up-to-date with changing regulatory requirements and implement necessary adjustments.
  6. Property Management Support:
    1. Collaborate with property management teams to provide financial insights and support for property operations.
    2. Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.
  7. Software Utilization:
    1. Effectively use US/UK accounting software to manage financial data and generate reports.
    2. Stay current with new features and technologies to improve efficiency and productivity.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience:
  1. 5+ years of accounting experience in the real estate industry.
Software Skills:
  1. Proficiency with US/UK accounting software (e.g., Yardi, Entrata).
Analytical Skills:
  1. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and generate meaningful reports.
Attention to Detail:
  1. High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of accounting work.
Communication Skills:
  1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge:
  1. Real estate accounting.
Experience:
  1. Property management software.
Advanced Proficiency:
  1. Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
