Job Title: Business Development Manager

About the Role:

The Business Development Manager plays a pivotal role in driving business growth by identifying and capturing new opportunities.

  • We drive all activities throughout the capture lifecycle, including developing teaming strategies, pricing, and proposal development.
  • We scan and evaluate markets to identify potential opportunities for growth.
  • We coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to prepare for upcoming procurements and stay ahead of the competition.
  • We review and qualify RFIs and RFPs, and drive the proposal process forward.
  • We develop written proposals by collaboratively creating concepts, gathering and formatting information through interview techniques, writing drafts, and finalizing proposal submissions.
  • We maintain reference databases for technical, management, and past performance.
  • We develop compliant and compelling content leveraging industry knowledge and expertise.
  • We conduct after-action reviews for all contracts and document lessons learned to improve our capture techniques, strategies, and actions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Capture-related experience is required for Federal or State procurements.
  • A solid track record of winning staffing and SOW-based proposals in the Public Sector is essential.
  • Demonstrated capability to write clear, logical, and persuasive documents is crucial.
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills with an understanding of cost and financials are necessary.
  • Knowledge of GSA and other Federal Schedules is beneficial.
  • A Bachelor's Degree or higher in a relevant field (e.g. English, Journalism, Communications) is required.

  • Impeccable attention to detail is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is expected.
  • The ability to prioritize, lead, and manage multiple projects and tasks to successful completion is essential.
  • The ability to meet planned and unplanned deadlines is critical.
