Established in 1933, this prestigious institution is a renowned entity in Chennai dedicated to the holistic development of individuals. Its comprehensive approach encompasses education, sports and social welfare. Over 90 years, it has grown into an organization with 12 units and employs over 600 people.

The organization comprises various prominent units such as Lady Andal IB School, Sir Mutha CBSE School, Sir Mutha Venkatasubba Rao Concert Hall and The Madras Seva Sadan Higher Secondary School, to name a few.

We are seeking a dynamic professional for Vajra – TMSS's multidisciplinary sports complex. This role involves identifying, cultivating and stewarding relationships with high-value donors, alumni and influential networks to mobilise substantial funding support.

The ideal candidate should have experience in business development and fundraising, with a proven track record in developing and implementing CSR strategies. They must be a strategic thinker with excellent relationship-building skills and a passion for making an impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a robust fundraising plan to secure large-ticket donations from HNIs, alumni and philanthropists. Proven fundraising experience in large-scale construction projects (Education, Sports, Health) is required.
  • Create a database of potential donors using wealth intelligence tools and personal network.
  • Track and report fundraising goals through donor tracking, engagement and donation metrics to management at regular intervals.
  • Craft compelling pitches and proposals to drive successful closures.
  • Collaborate with Communications team to create high-impact presentations and events for prospects.
  • Work closely with TMSS trustees and leadership to deliver fundraising goals.
  • Represent TMSS at networking events and donor meetings.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Business, Social Sciences or related fields.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience working with HNIs/UHNI/CSR in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka.
  • Proven track record of securing high-value donations from HNI/UHNI/Foundations/Grants.
  • Excellent networking, relationship-building and persuasion skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (Bilingual - Tamil/English).
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to new situations.
  • Knowledge of current trends in CSR, philanthropy and HNI donor behaviors.
