Senior Associate: Audit and Assurance Role
We seek a skilled and experienced professional to perform audit procedures in complex areas, building technical competence and serving as the primary point of contact for clients.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop productive relationships with clients and engagement teams.
  • Direct field work and keep engagement leaders informed of audit status.
  • Complete audit procedures and documentation for high-risk areas to enhance technical skills.
  • Contribute ideas and opinions to the audit team.
  • Gain an understanding of service offerings.
  • Prepare draft financial statements under US GAAP, IFRS, and UK GAAP (FRS 102).
  • Ensure all work papers are complete, consistent, and include procedures performed, evidence obtained, and conclusions reached.
  • Identify key client issues and discuss possible solutions to increase quality and efficiency.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree with 1-5 years of related work experience in a similar audit practice firm. Experience with Big 4 or Big 10 firms is an advantage.
  • Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred. Alternatively, a graduate degree with 1-5 years of related work experience in statutory audits under US GAAP, UK GAAP, and IFRS is acceptable.
  • Experience in accounts preparation under FRS 102 and relevant applicable standards is beneficial.
  • Experience working on 401k - Employee Benefit Plans and Pension plans is advantageous.
  • Qualified U.S. Certified Public Accounting (CPA) license or sufficient coursework to achieve US CPA certification in the US state of primary work location is required.
  • Experience in planning, execution, and reporting on audits of financial statements prepared in accordance with US GAAP and US GAAS, IFRS, and UK GAAP is necessary.
  • Excellent project management skills are essential.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a dedicated team and report to leadership is necessary.
  • Integrity within a professional work environment is expected.
