Job Summary:

The IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) Coordinator is responsible for leading and enhancing our PYP, creating a dynamic student-centered environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Development: Develop, implement, and review the PYP curriculum in alignment with International Baccalaureate (IB) standards.
  • Teacher Support: Collaborate with teachers to deliver the PYP effectively and foster a culture of inquiry and reflection.
  • Professional Growth: Organize and lead professional development workshops and training sessions for staff.
  • Community Engagement: Engage with parents and the school community to promote understanding of the PYP.
  • Assessment and Record-Keeping: Coordinate and support student assessments and maintain records as per IB requirements.
  • Staying Up-to-Date: Stay updated with IB developments and changes to ensure adherence to IB standards.
  • Communication: Facilitate communication between all stakeholders, including teachers, parents, and the IB organization.

Required Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Master's degree or Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
  • IB Training: IB PYP Coordinator training or certification.
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in teaching and a strong understanding of the IB framework, particularly the PYP.
  • Skills: Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership abilities and a commitment to professional growth.
