The Procurement Assistant will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our purchasing department.
We are looking for an individual with excellent organizational skills, who can work efficiently to source quality products and deliver exceptional customer service.
- Responsibilities:
- Supports the procurement process, exercising diligence in financial control and adhering to company procedures;
- Works collaboratively with the team to maximize guest satisfaction, sourcing products that meet quality standards while delivering a positive and responsive approach to inquiries and problem resolution;
- Takes ownership of tasks assigned, ensuring timely completion of duties in a professional manner;
- Contributes to achieving departmental plans and objectives, aligning hotel initiatives and targets;
- Collaborates with colleagues to manage costs and inventory, attain productivity and performance levels, and build effective working relationships while promoting the company culture and values;
- Ensures adherence to all legislation, implementing due diligence requirements and best practice activities for internal and external audit, with follow-up as necessary;
- Requirements:
- Experience in hotel procurement beneficial but not essential;
- A hands-on approach with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and a passion for the hospitality industry;
- Ability to find creative solutions, taking ownership of duties and tasks assigned;
- Personal integrity, with the ability to work in an environment demanding excellence;
- Experience working with IT systems on various platforms;
- Strong communication skills;
