Job Overview

This role is responsible for reviewing and analyzing electronic communication alerts to detect potential violations of policies, rules and regulations.

The individual will be working with automated systems to identify and escalate suspicious activities.

They will also be performing audio surveillance by listening to voice communications to detect any potential violations.

The successful candidate will have a strong analytical and problem-solving skillset, with the ability to exercise sound judgment and escalate issues appropriately.

They will also have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

  • Reviewing and analyzing electronic communication alerts to detect potential violations of policies, rules and regulations.
  • Performing audio surveillance by listening to voice communications to detect any potential violations.
  • Escalating suspicious activities to the appropriate department.
  • Documenting rationales with accurate, complete, and organized written commentary for audit trail.
  • Modifying procedures and submitting them for approval when needed.
  • Driving the enhancement and improvement of the communication surveillance program from both an effectiveness and efficiency perspective.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identifying and escalating suspicious activities.
  • Providing support in conducting reviews and analyses.
  • Collaborating with onshore Surveillance teams and the EMEA Head of Surveillance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 8-10 years' experience in Financial Services or Banking Compliance.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Word).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail; excellent organizational skills.
