Job Description for Video Editor - Executive

A video editor plays a crucial role in creating engaging video content for PAC Cosmetics Private Limited. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, creativity, and technical expertise to assemble raw footage into polished video products that meet the company's vision and technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble raw footage into a polished video product using editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, and Cinema 4D.
  • Understand the client's vision and objectives to create compelling narratives and storytelling through video.
  • Implement visual effects, animations, and other post-production elements to enhance the video's quality and engagement.
  • Ensure seamless integration of audio elements, including dialogue, music, and sound effects, to enhance the overall viewing experience.
  • Enhance the visual appeal of videos through color correction and grading techniques to achieve the desired aesthetic.
  • Work closely with producers, directors, and other team members to understand project requirements and deliverables.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and adhere to project timelines and deadlines.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, tools, and techniques to continually improve editing skills and stay competitive in the field.
  • Perform quality checks on final products to ensure technical accuracy and alignment with project specifications.

Requirements:

  • Proficient in using video editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and other relevant tools.
  • Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio.
  • Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation, and continuity.
  • Familiarity with special effects, 3D, and compositing.
  • Creative mind and storytelling skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in film studies, animation, cinematography, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA in Sales & Marketing with 5 years of experience, preferably in the Beauty & Cosmetics Industry.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong solutioning ability with a creative bent of mind.
  • Strong customer orientation & interest in consumer internet.
  • Ability to be a strong team player in cross-functional projects.
  • Thorough and organised.
  • Start-up enthusiast.
