We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accounting professional to oversee accounting activities and ensure accurate financial statement preparation. This role is responsible for maintaining financial records in compliance with local Indian GAAP, tax regulations, and IFRS.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process data transactions entry on the system ensuring accuracy and efficiency
  • Analyse Financial Information to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Own reconciling accounts with the general ledger and consider accruals and provisions to maintain financial integrity
  • File VAT and Tax returns on time to avoid penalties
  • Ensure completion of monthly closing activities in terms of data, validation, reconciliation, and reporting
  • Collaborate with team members to monitor asset disposals additions and movements to maintain up-to-date records
  • Issue periodic reports to stakeholders on financial performance
  • Prepare data for internal and external audits to ensure transparency and compliance
  • Coordinate and follow up on needed data from different departments to ensure smooth operations
  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and journal entries
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with Indian GAAP and/or IFRS
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements including GST, TDS, corporate tax filings, and MCA reporting
  • Coordinate and support external audits, internal audits, and tax assessments to maintain financial credibility
  • Monitor and manage month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely completion
  • Maintain fixed asset register and depreciation schedules to track assets accurately
  • Perform variance analysis and assist in budgeting and forecasting activities to inform business decisions
  • Liaise with banks, auditors, consultants, and government bodies as needed to ensure compliance and accuracy
  • Ensure proper documentation, filing, and record keeping of all financial transactions to maintain audit trails
  • Support implementation of accounting systems and ERP SAP tools and contribute to process improvements to increase efficiency

To succeed in this role, you will require strong knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards, tax laws, and financial reporting. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, preferably CA or pursuing CA/CMA, is essential. You should have 5-7 years of relevant experience in accounting and possess excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
