About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer to play a critical operational role in our Technology team.

Job Overview

  • This role involves developing and maintaining distributed, real-time systems that serve key stakeholders in the firm's Global business.
  • The successful candidate will optimize the operations of existing systems and infrastructure through automation and tooling.
  • Key responsibilities include building out foundational technical components of a robust SRE program across multiple complex systems.
  • Collaboration with development and quant teams is essential to ensure changes align with measurable Service Level Objectives (SLOs).
  • Monitoring system capacity and performance, identifying and addressing potential bottlenecks and sources of instability is crucial.
  • The role also involves reviewing and providing feedback on automation code developed by peers, maintaining high standards of code quality and efficiency.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving system issues, analyzing their impact on infrastructure and service operations is an important aspect of this role.
  • Participation in or leading design reviews with peers and stakeholders is necessary for evaluating and selecting the best technologies and automation strategies for the firm's needs.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Demonstrated work experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or in a similar role is required.
  • Strong coding skills in Python and PowerShell, with ability to comprehend C# and develop basic applications are essential.
  • Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems, cloud-based services and infrastructure (AWS), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and Configuration Management (Ansible) is necessary.
  • Container technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, AWS EKS, and ECS are also relevant.
  • Self-motivation, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a strong sense of ownership are required.
  • A commitment to the highest ethical standards is expected.
