Job Overview

The Senior Manager is responsible for end-to-end credit underwriting and monitoring of portfolio of personal loans through digital journey. This role involves strategizing, managing, and analysing data to ensure optimal portfolio performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement underwriting policies that align with company objectives.
  2. Work closely with Data Science team to validate underwriting models and analyse their performance on current portfolio.
  3. Determine performance benchmarks and identify course of action in case of breach.
  4. Automate Credit Policies to minimize manual intervention in assessing creditworthiness.
  5. Determine the right pricing basis segmentation.
  6. Standardize policies and processes.
  7. Track portfolio profitability and funnel metrics along with risk thresholds.

Performance Monitoring:

  1. Analyse portfolio performance and recommend policy changes to Policy head based on outcomes.
  2. Conduct periodical credit reviews of existing portfolio and various analyses to identify high-risk segments.
  3. Take actions to mitigate risks identified based on portfolio performance.
  4. Monitor delinquent accounts to ensure achievement of company standards/benchmark of delinquency.
  5. Identify technological solutions to improve existing processes and overall portfolio management functions.
  6. Analyse MIS to monitor portfolio performance and risk.

New Partner Integrations:

  1. Understand product being offered by new channel partner and segment catered to.
  2. Understand journey, identify set of information available with channel partner, and requisition set of data to be provided at time of application.
  3. Create policy basis product, information available, and prevailing models.
  4. Facilitate data room exercise for new segment of customers.
  5. Formulate policy keeping expected loss rates in consideration.
  6. Monitor implementation of policy, UAT, and production test run of policy and clear bottlenecks, if any.

Relationship Management:

Manage relations with Partners, credit reporting agencies, and assist in all credit operations of the company.

Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate in Finance/Statistics/Management from A institutes.
  • BTech with MBA preferred.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum 7 years with 3–4 years in risk management and policy creation.
  • Fair understanding of risk performance.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Superior Stakeholder management skills- work closely and align with each of the internal functions which includes Business development, Credit and Policy, Data science, Legal, Technology, Operations, Collections, Customer Success team and external stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience to work on large structured and unstructured datasets using different data processing and statistical tools must.
  • Data driven, Analytical approach, Team Player.
