Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Firmware Test Engineer to join our team at Copeland. As a key member of our new product development group, you will be responsible for a broad range of engineering tasks from requirements to testing.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Develop and execute test plans, including defining test strategies, creating test cases, and estimating test schedules.
  • Track and capture various test metrics, such as test quality, test case pass/fail rates, and identification of critical, major, and minor issues.
  • Design and manage test setups, ensuring product quality and test quality.
  • Work in a structured but agile environment, conforming to CMM standards.
  • Collaborate with software developers to identify test cases and unit test coverage.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Strong experience in developing LabVIEW-based test automation using cRIO, RIO, FlexRIO, etc.
  • Experience in developing LabVIEW-based data acquisition and control systems.
  • Hands-on experience in developing test automation frameworks and test environment setups.
  • Experience in unit testing and integration testing.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Jscript, Java Script, Python scripting, VB Script, and/or C language.
  • Experience on Windows, RTOS, and Linux-based systems.
  • Experience in IIoT-based product/system testing.
  • Expertise in testing communication protocols such as TCP/IP, Ethernet, RS, RS, SPI, etc.
  • Experience in activities related to obtaining certification of industrial protocols such as Profinet.
  • Experience working with standard development tools for configuration management, design, and tracking.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Instrumentation, or Telecommunication Engineering is required.
