Tax Leadership Role

Senior Tax Executive needed to lead tax planning, compliance and strategy for a major organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of Income Tax returns and TDS compliance.
  • Oversee corporate tax planning and implement strategies to optimize tax liabilities.
  • Handle tax audits, assessments and litigation matters with income tax authorities.
  • Ensure compliance with Transfer Pricing regulations, including documentation and reporting.
  • Provide advisory on international tax matters and cross-border transactions.

Indirect Taxation (GST & Other Levies)

  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of GST returns, reconciliations and audits.
  • Provide guidance on GST applicability, input tax credits and compliance across business transactions.
  • Handle GST audits, assessments and dispute resolution with tax authorities.
  • Stay updated on GST law amendments and implement necessary business process changes.
  • Assist in customs duty, excise and any other indirect tax-related matters applicable to the business.

Tax Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure adherence to all direct and indirect tax regulations to avoid penalties and litigation.
  • Monitor tax law changes and proactively update management on implications and required actions.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, auditors and external tax advisors for smooth tax operations.
  • Implement and improve internal tax processes and controls to ensure efficiency and compliance.

Tax Strategy & Reporting

  • Develop and execute tax-efficient structures and transaction models to optimize costs.
  • Prepare tax reports, forecasts and impact assessments for senior management.
  • Support business expansion initiatives with tax structuring and advisory.
  • Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate tax accounting and reporting.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience: 6-8 years of experience managing both direct and indirect taxation in a corporate setup.
  • Expertise: Strong knowledge of Income Tax, TDS, GST, Transfer Pricing and International Taxation.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with Indian tax laws, litigation processes and compliance frameworks.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to handle complex tax matters and provide strategic tax solutions.
  • Communication & Leadership: Strong stakeholder management skills, including experience in handling tax authorities and external consultants.
