We are seeking a seasoned search expert to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing cutting-edge search solutions using OpenSearch/Elasticsearch.

As a key member of our data engineering team, you will work closely with product teams to deliver high-quality search experiences and have a deep understanding of search concepts, including analysers, tokenisers, relevance tuning, custom scoring, and query DSL.

In this role, you will also be responsible for index and template management, lifecycle policies, and large-scale data modelling, as well as developing and maintaining robust, scalable APIs for search.

You will lead efforts in integration, regression, and performance testing to ensure reliability and accuracy of search features and automate deployment and management of search infrastructure.

Requirements:
  • 5+ years experience with Elasticsearch or OpenSearch in production environments

  • Proficiency in designing and optimising search pipelines and custom query builders
  • Practical hands-on experience developing software using AI-assisted tools and workflows
  • Strong testing background
