A seasoned Production Operations Manager is required to lead and oversee production activities in Chennai.

- Lead and supervise shop floor operations to achieve production targets, quality standards, and timely delivery.
- Plan, schedule, and prioritize production activities in line with project and client requirements.
- Provide technical expertise in sheet metal fabrication, TIG/MIG welding for stainless steel assemblies, assembly, and finishing processes.
- Oversee resource allocation and optimize utilization of manpower, materials, and equipment.
- Drive compliance with lean manufacturing principles.
- Establish and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
- Collaborate with the Quality team to ensure robust in-process and final inspections.
- Analyze production KPIs (output, downtime, rejection, efficiency) and implement corrective actions.
- Support the integration of prototypes and new product designs into the production process in coordination with R&D.
- Mentor and train production team members on best practices, welding methods, and safety protocols.
- Initiate and lead process improvement projects.
- Maintain production documentation for traceability, audits, and client requirements.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 4-7 years of experience in production/manufacturing roles, with at least 2+ years in sheet metal fabrication and welding.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and other CAD software.
- Hands-on expertise in TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) and MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding for stainless steel assemblies.
- Strong background in resource optimization, lean manufacturing.
- Proven leadership and team management experience.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Language proficiency: English and Tamil (Mandatory), Hindi (Optional).
