Job Title: Civil & Structural WTG Foundation Design Expert

Design Requirements:
  • We seek a seasoned Civil & Structural WTG Foundation Design Specialist to lead the engineering design team in optimizing wind turbine generator foundations for reliability, safety, and compliance with international standards.
Responsibilities:
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and optimizing WTG foundations using various methods (gravity-based, spread footing, piled, rock-anchored, shallow mat, ribbed beam, etc.)
  • Structural load and stress calculations (gravity, wind, seismic, fatigue) must ensure foundation stability
  • Select and validate construction materials for efficiency and sustainability
  • Prepare and review design basis reports, BOQs, drawings, and calculations to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards and codes (BIS, ASCE, AISC, SBC, Eurocode)
  • Collaborate with geotechnical, hydrology, BoP, electrical, and CTS teams to achieve project goals
  • Support certification processes with external agencies to maintain regulatory compliance
  • Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize project delays and costs

Key qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Structural specialization) or Master's in Structural or Civil Engineering
  • 8–12 years of experience in Power & Utilities sector with focus on renewable energy foundations
  • Proficiency in software such as STAAD Pro, SAP2000, RFEM/RSTAB, SAFE, ETABS, PLAXIS 2D/3D
  • Expertise in WTG foundation design, geotechnical risk assessment, hydrology, seismic analysis, and civil design codes
