Job Overview:

We are seeking an Energy Storage System Specialist to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and experience with battery-based energy storage systems. Key responsibilities include designing electrical systems for battery-based energy storage systems, including PCS, BMS, EMS, and SCADA designs. In addition, the successful candidate will be familiar with applicable codes, standards, and regulations in the USA.Key Responsibilities:
  • Electrical Design: Responsible for designing electrical systems for battery-based energy storage systems, including PCS, BMS, EMS, and SCADA designs.
  • Familiarity with Codes and Regulations: Familiarity with applicable codes, standards, and regulations in the USA.
  • Due Diligence and Owner's Engineer Experience: Lead technical reviews of documents and installations to determine compliance.
  • Battery Technology Knowledge: Understand fundamental aspects and main characteristics of current battery technologies and relate them to battery parameters.
  • Test Plan Preparation: Prepare FAT and integration test plan for BESS systems. Conduct technical review of documents provided by vendors.
  • Project Management: Manage bids and projects throughout their life cycle.
  • Electrical Testing: Perform electrical testing using appropriate PPE and procedures.
  • Training and Development: Attend training sessions on equipment as provided by the manufacturer and approved by manager.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Total Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in BESS.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or a relevant engineering field. PhD holders in similar fields are also welcome.
  • Communication and Analytical Skills: Ability to read and comprehend electrical and mechanical schematics, technical manuals, procedures, and regulations.
  • Electrical Knowledge: At least three years of electrical knowledge/training experience in BESS.
  • Critical Skills: Good organization, communication, analytical, planning, time management, and customer service skills.
  • Software Proficiency: Competent skills using Microsoft office software like Outlook, Excel, Word.
  • Client and Team Management: Client management, team management, and process management skills.
  • Additional Advantage: Knowledge of other electrical and PV software's is an added advantage.
