Counselling Manager - Undergraduate Applications

About the Role

You will play a pivotal role in shaping student journeys from initial counseling to university acceptances. Lead a team of counselors, collaborate with mentors and editors, and personally support students in building distinctive, high-impact profiles.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and support students through the entire undergraduate admissions process.Guide students in developing strong academic and extracurricular profiles, including research, internships, competitions, and community impact projects.Strategize personalized student journeys by advising on subject selection, standardized testing, university shortlisting, and long-term academic planning.Review and provide detailed feedback on all application components.Manage and mentor a team of counselors to ensure consistency, timely communication, and adherence to admissions timelines.Coordinate with internal teams to align strategy and execution for each student.Organize internal trainings, case reviews, and brainstorming sessions to strengthen team capabilities.Provide expert guidance on U.S., U.K., and Canadian admissions platforms.Maintain clear communication with students and parents to ensure client satisfaction.Track and document student milestones to ensure timely completion of deliverables and a smooth admissions process.

Qualifications & Skills

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's and Master's degree in any discipline (preferably from or with experience studying in the U.S., U.K., or Canada).
  • 2–4 years of experience in academic counseling, university admissions, or education advisory roles.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, especially in academic and admissions writing.
  • Proven organizational and multitasking abilities, with the confidence to manage multiple high-stakes student timelines.
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work cross-functionally with mentors, editors, and academic leads.
  • Familiarity with undergraduate/postgraduate platforms such as Common App, UCAS, and OUAC is preferred.
  • A passion for education, student growth, and lifelong learning.
