Cloud Engineering Position

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of innovative cloud-based solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced cloud architectures, ensuring seamless integration with key cloud providers such as AWS and Google.

This role involves building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure, supporting the continuous evolution of the client's infrastructure as code approach, and ensuring automation throughout the lifecycle of all workloads. Additionally, the engineer will be responsible for identifying and mitigating potential single points of failure in the infrastructure and improving efficiency when setting up new cloud infrastructure and maintaining existing instances.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, including experience with Docker, Linux systems management, Kubernetes, Git, GitHub, BitBucket or Stash, CI/CD tools, and application and system monitoring tools. They will also have a solid understanding of programming/scripting languages, web servers (Apache, NGINX), database systems (SQL and NoSQL), caching (Cassandra, Redis, Memcache or others), and queues (RabbitMQ, ZeroMQ or similar).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement advanced cloud architectures
  • Build and set up new development tools and infrastructure
  • Support the continuous evolution of the client's infrastructure as code approach
  • Ensure automation throughout the lifecycle of all workloads
  • Identify and mitigate potential single points of failure in the infrastructure
  • Improve efficiency when setting up new cloud infrastructure and maintaining existing instances

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience with Docker
  • Experience with Linux systems management
  • Proven experience in Kubernetes
  • Experience with Git, GitHub, BitBucket or Stash
  • Experience with CI and CD tools (Jenkins, Bamboo or similar)
  • Solid Experience with at least a programming/scripting language (Python, Ruby, Bash, GO, Java, Node.js, PHP)
  • Experience with application and system monitoring tools (such as Datadog, Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana, Prometheus, ElasticSearch, Kibana)
  • Experience in the configuration, management and troubleshooting of web servers (Apache, NGINX), database systems (SQL and NoSQL), caching (Cassandra, Redis, Memcache or others) and queues (RabbitMQ, ZeroMQ or similar)
  • Experience working as a DevSecOps or Cloud Engineer in an agile and fast-paced environment
  • Experience in a continuous integration/deploy environment
  • Experience with AWS
  • Automation experience in the context of a microservice/SOA architecture
