Software Engineering Leadership

Oversee day-to-day technical operations as a Senior Software Engineer II. Assist in training new employees and reviewing high-performing teams.

  • Develop and assign work schedules/tasks
  • Review ongoing operations and rectify any issues

Participate in design and code reviews to enhance quality experience for customers.

Troubleshoot and resolve production issues within agreed SLAs.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure best-in-class customer experience.

Lead groups of engineers, working with the scrum master and management to coordinate and deliver.

Provide technical support to operations or other development teams.

Review work of peers and team members.

Participate in planning sessions to analyze development requirements, provide design options, and provide work breakdown and estimates of work.

Actively participate in team and status meetings, providing timely status updates for areas of individual responsibilities within projects to reporting managers.

Serve as a point of contact for new technologies and frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strong technical credibility and programming skills with Java EE, SQL, JavaScript, JMS, REST, and SOAP
  • Experience in Java frameworks, especially Spring framework
  • In-depth knowledge of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices
  • Sound technical foundation of single and multi-tier architecture, web-based development, and Services Oriented Architecture
  • Proficiency in Java, data structure, and algorithms, collections, and concurrency
  • Solid experience with SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and triggers for Oracle databases
  • Proficient using source code management tools such as Git/bitbucket and build tools like Maven
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of CI/CD processes and tools (Jenkin)
  • Experience in Unix/Linux basic commands
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues
  • Exposure to Apache Camel or other integration frameworks
  • Ability to see big picture while not losing sight of necessary details
  • Hands-on experience in data structures and algorithms
  • Experience in leading a team through all phases of software development cycle
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Experienced in agile software development lifecycle
