Senior Data Engineer - Technical Expertise

Job Overview:

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Data Engineer with profound technical expertise in ETL pipeline design, data modeling, and data infrastructure to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement efficient, scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and data flows that optimize performance.
  • Develop transformation models using dbt and orchestrate pipelines via Airflow for streamlined workflow management.
  • Tune and manage relational and analytical databases (PostgreSQL, Snowflake) to ensure seamless integration.
  • Architect and maintain schemas using Star Schema, 3NF, and SCD2 methodologies for enhanced data governance.
  • Design and support lakehouse architectures and scalable storage solutions for secure data storage.
  • Implement and enforce data governance, validation, and quality control mechanisms for robust data integrity.
  • Maintain DevOps standards using CI/CD, GitFlow, and containerization tools like Docker and Ansible for agile development.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and ETL/ELT design principles.
  • Strong experience with dbt, Airflow, and Spark for efficient data processing.
  • Deep understanding of data modeling techniques (Star Schema, 3NF, SCD2) for optimal data organization.
  • Proven ability to optimize and tune PostgreSQL and Snowflake for high-performance execution.
  • Familiarity with lakehouse architecture principles and tools for secure data storage.
  • Solid experience in data governance, validation frameworks, and pipeline monitoring for continuous improvement.
  • Strong grasp of GitFlow, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker/Ansible) for agile development.
