Mathematical Modeler

We are seeking a highly skilled Mathematical Modeler to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring advanced research, analytical, and problem-solving skills to design and implement data-driven solutions that drive strategic business decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop advanced machine learning and statistical models to solve complex business challenges.
  • Conduct in-depth research and experimentation to innovate and improve data science methodologies.
  • Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets to extract actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate models into production systems.
  • Perform hypothesis testing, predictive modeling, and optimization to support strategic initiatives.
  • Publish internal technical reports and contribute to research papers/patents.
  • Stay updated with the latest research trends in AI/ML, deep learning, NLP, and data analytics.
  • Mentor junior data scientists and provide thought leadership within the team.
Required Qualifications
  • PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in applying machine learning, deep learning, and statistical techniques to real-world problems.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, R, or similar languages, with expertise in libraries/frameworks.
  • Proficiency in SQL and working with large-scale data platforms.
  • Strong background in mathematics, probability, linear algebra, and optimization.
  • Experience with research publication or contribution to open-source projects is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in mathematics, computer science, and statistics, and be able to apply this knowledge to real-world problems. We are looking for a collaborative team player who can work effectively with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes.

Preferred Skills
  • Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Exposure to natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, or reinforcement learning.
  • Strong domain expertise in Healthcare, Finance, Retail, etc.
  • Track record of academic publications or patents in AI/ML/Data Science.

Apart from required qualifications we expect you to have a good grasp of at least one of the below technologies: Hadoop, Spark, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn etc.

This role involves working on multiple projects simultaneously, requiring excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks accordingly.
