Job Description

The Industrial Relations Manager plays a pivotal role in fostering harmonious employer-employee relationships, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and promoting a culture of transparency and fairness within the organization.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining effective communication channels with labor unions, employees, and management to prevent labor unrest and strikes.
  • Negotiating collective bargaining agreements (CBAs) that align with company policies and ensure employee welfare.
  • Addressing union demands, disputes, and wage negotiations in collaboration with senior management, while adhering to relevant labor laws and regulations.
  • Representing the organization in discussions with union leaders, labor officers, and industry forums to maintain a positive image and mitigate risks.

Additionally, the Industrial Relations Manager is responsible for:

  • Conducting regular legal audits and implementing policies to mitigate legal risks in labor matters.
  • Staying updated on changes in labor laws and regulations, ensuring timely policy adaptations to maintain compliance.
  • Guiding supervisors and managers on disciplinary actions and legal compliance to promote a fair and transparent work environment.
  • Maintaining detailed records of court cases, arbitrations, settlements, and disciplinary actions to inform future decisions.
