Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned expert to drive the development and implementation of cloud-native infrastructure using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of AKS architecture, design principles, and best practices for container orchestration, scaling, and governance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop end-to-end AKS-based architectures in Azure that meet business requirements and technical specifications.
  • Design multi-environment, multi-region AKS architectures for high availability, disaster recovery, and scalability.
  • Establish standards and guidelines for container security, network isolation, and monitoring.
  • Advise on cost optimization strategies for AKS and related Azure resources.

Azure & AKS Expertise:

  • Architect and provision AKS clusters with features like autoscaling, private cluster configuration, network isolation using Azure CNI / Kubenet, managed identities, and Azure AD integration.
  • Integrate AKS with supporting Azure services such as Azure Monitor, Managed Prometheus & Grafana, Azure Container Registry (ACR), and Azure Key Vault.

DevOps & Automation:

  • Design Infrastructure as Code solutions with Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates for AKS provisioning.
  • Implement GitOps workflows (e.g., ArgoCD, Flux) for automated deployments and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD).
  • Define CI/CD architecture using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins for AKS workloads.

Security & Compliance:

  • Architect RBAC and Azure AD security models for AKS access and resource management.
  • Integrate security scanning for container images and Kubernetes workloads to ensure compliance and threat detection.
  • Ensure alignment with industry compliance frameworks and governance policies.

Monitoring, Logging, & Observability:

  • Architect observability solutions using Azure Monitor, Managed Prometheus, Container Insights, and Grafana for real-time monitoring and alerting.
  • Establish automated incident response playbooks and anomaly detection mechanisms.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years in DevOps, Cloud Architecture, or related fields with expertise in AKS and Azure.
  • Strong technical expertise in Kubernetes architecture, troubleshooting, Azure networking, IaC tools, and container security and governance.
  • Experience with service mesh architectures (Istio, Linkerd, OSM) and multi-cluster management tools (Azure Arc, Fleet).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
  • Strong communication and presentation skills for both technical and business audiences.
  • Ability to lead design workshops and architecture reviews.
