As a skilled cloud data engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining large-scale data pipelines on Google Cloud. Your expertise in GCP tools such as Data Flow, DataStream, CDC, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, Pub Sub, BigQuery, and Cloud Storage will enable the efficient processing and storage of structured and unstructured data.

  • Develop complex datasets based on business requirements and identify opportunities for data acquisition through stakeholder interactions.
  • Translate business needs into technical requirements and leverage various GCP tools to integrate systems and data pipelines.
  • Monitor pipelines using logs and alerts, ensuring reliability and scalability through DevOps and CI/CD practices.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of experience in a data engineering role with core GCP experience of 3-4 years.
  • Strong understanding of data engineering principles, including data ingestion, processing, and storage.
  • Experience with GCP tools and technologies, including Python, DataFlow, DataStream, CDC, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, Pub Sub, BigQuery, and Cloud Storage.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.

Working Hours:

  • Work time will be in CST, until 2 am IST on most days.
  • Moderate flexibility required to accommodate occasional stretch hours by 1-2 hours every month or so.
