Structural Design Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Design Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural engineering and experience in designing building structures.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing structural design inputs for social infrastructure projects, reviewing and finalising structural designs, drawings and detailed estimates, carrying out structural analysis and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.

They will also coordinate with architects, civil engineers and other specialists to ensure integrated design solutions, assess foundation design, load calculations, earthquake-resistant design and durability aspects, prepare design basis reports, structural BOQs and cost estimates, conduct a review of DPR deliverables from a structural perspective, and provide technical guidance to project teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Strong expertise in structural engineering design for buildings and social infrastructure projects is essential. Proficiency in structural design software such as STAAD Pro, ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000 and AutoCAD is required.

Knowledge of IS codes, IRC standards and international guidelines is necessary. The ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and strong documentation, reporting and problem-solving skills are also essential.
