Job Role:

We are seeking a skilled Welder and Fabricator to join our team.

  • The successful candidate will perform various welding techniques, such as SMAW, MIG, TIG, FCAW, or SAW, based on project requirements.
  • They will weld structural steel components, including beams, columns, base plates, stiffeners, etc.
  • The ideal candidate must be able to read and interpret welding symbols, fabrication drawings, and WPS (Welding Procedure Specifications) accurately.
  • They will maintain weld quality as per ASME/AWS/IS/EN standards and ensure compliance with established procedures.
  • Responsibilities include conducting fit-up, tack welding, and final welding according to approved procedures.
  • Collaboration with the QA/QC team for weld inspection, NDT clearance, and rework if required is also essential.
  • Maintenance of tools, welding machines, and work area in a clean and organized manner is mandatory.
  • Adherence to safety standards at all times, using personal protective equipment (PPE), fire watch, hot work permits, etc., is crucial.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of ITI certification is required.
  • 2–7 years of experience in industrial fabrication or construction is preferred.
  • Valid Welding Certifications (ASME/AWS/IS) are highly regarded.
  • The ability to interpret fabrication drawings and welding symbols is essential.
  • Physical fitness and capability to work in confined spaces or at height are necessary.
  • Knowledge of materials, including CS, SS, alloy steel, etc., is required.
