Lead Cassandra Database Specialist

As a Senior Cassandra Database Professional, you will be responsible for creating, installing and managing NoSQL databases.
You will ensure optimal database performance by analyzing database issues and monitoring database performance across multiple global data centers and public cloud providers. We are looking for passion, curiosity, attention to details, taking pride in one's work, taking ownership, and having ideas/opinions.
Your responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with team members to manage both production SQL-based and Cassandra/NoSQL databases.
- Managing mission-critical high transaction rate databases, including configuration, administration, monitoring, security management, performance optimization, replication, troubleshooting, and backup of both traditional SQL databases (MySQL/Percona) and NoSQL databases (Cassandra/MongoDB).
- Installing, configuring, and upgrading nodes in high availability customer production clusters.
- Ensuring proper monitoring, alerting, capacity planning and reporting in the production environment.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of relevant experience in the design, maintenance, and administration of NoSQL databases (Cassandra, MongoDB) required.
- 6+ years of relevant experience in the design, maintenance, and administration of traditional SQL-based databases (MySQL, MariaDB, Percona) required.
- Experience managing Kafka message bus infrastructures strongly preferred.
