The Role

We're seeking a skilled Software Engineer (Frontend) who excels at crafting high-performance user experiences and goes beyond departmental boundaries to deliver value to users. If you have a bias for action, love solving complex problems, and are passionate about building products used by millions of developers, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Owning and developing intuitive, secure, performant, and scalable end-to-end search experiences.
  • Working primarily on frontend engineering, creating scalable and high-quality user interfaces.
  • Optimizing search UX with a strong focus on customer needs.
  • Collaborating with backend engineers, designers, and product managers to deliver a best-in-class search experience.
  • Being curious and proactive—dive into work beyond silos to iterate quickly and deliver incremental improvements.
  • Building functional prototypes to solve internal and external use cases.
  • Contributing to engineering culture by sharing knowledge, reviewing code, and mentoring peers.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of experience as a full-stack engineer, with strong expertise in frontend development.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and solid web fundamentals.
  • Hands-on experience with Node.js/Python, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and web services.
  • Strong understanding of software development fundamentals and infrastructure.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a bias for action—you get things done under constraints.
  • Passion for building products that create real value for users.
  • A collaborative, experimental mindset with the willingness to explore beyond silos.
